4th Grade

About 4th Grade

Fourth grade is all about our beautiful, golden state! From studying the life of the Native Americans to the start of the California Missions, the Gold Rush to the Transcontinental Railroad- we cover it all! We also study science topics such as energy and heat, motion and force, matter and its uses, the lithosphere, the cardiovascular system and the digestive system.

In Bible, we study the attributes of God, His faithfulness, His love, practicing contentment, and more. In math, we work with fractions, long multiplication, long division, graphing, basic geometry, and more! In writing, we practice poetry, creative writing, and learn how to write multiple paragraph essays using the Step Up to Writing format. We cover many grammatical concepts in English as well, and practice our reading, writing and spelling skills daily.

Fourth grade field trips include Mission San Juan Capistrano and a trip to Ocean Institute in Dana Point.
