Transitional Kindergarten
About Transitional Kindergarten
Our Transitional Kindergarten program is for children who will be 4 years old on or before September 1, 2025. This TK class will now be part of our K–8 structure and offers several wonderful benefits:
We are incredibly excited about the opportunities this program provides for young learners to begin their educational journey in a nurturing and academically rich environment. Using Bob Jones University Curriculum our students are prepared spiritually, academically and socially to move up. Our teachers provide a balance of social development and playtime, along with structured learning that includes the following fundamental instruction: Bible, reading, writing, math, science, social studies, music, art, literature, and gross and fine motor development skills. Most importantly, we apply Biblical integration to all areas of our program.
- Five full days of instruction
- Lower tuition than previous Pre-K programs
- Weekly enrichment classes
- Participation in elementary chapel
- Access to school lunch and before/after care
- Alignment with the K–8 school calendar

Class Curriculum
BJU Press’s early childhood program develops foundational knowledge and skills in Bible, math, social studies, science, handwriting, and language arts for future grades. This program, flexible for all types of learners at all stages of learning, develops the joy of learning through both teacher-guided and independent discovery-based activities. Daily themed lessons with characters teach foundational skills that are supported with music and engaging visuals. Free play at intentional learning centers encourages natural curiosity, while group activities encourage social-emotional development. Biblical worldview themes point students to a knowledge of God and His will.
